La Alcaldía de Barranquilla mantendrá Puesto de Mando Unificado antes, durante y después del desfile.
La vigilancia estará fortalecida vía aérea con el sobrevuelo de drones que seguirán el recorrido.
A pocas horas de realizarse La Guacherna, el primer desfile oficial de pre-Carnaval, este viernes 10 de febrero, el ambiente carnavalero en la ciudad se intensifica y las autoridades distritales, junto a la Policía Metropolitana de Barranquilla, pusieron en marcha un amplio operativo para mantener la seguridad y la sana convivencia durante la fiesta que reúne a miles de barranquilleros y visitantes.
La Administración distrital, a través de la Secretaría de Gobierno, y la fuerza pública pondrán en funcionamiento la operación del Puesto de Mando Unificado (PMU), el cual tendrá como zona de concentración la carrera 44 entre calles 70 y 79.
Refuerzo policivo
Para este importante desfile se contará con la operatividad de diferentes especialidades de la Policía Nacional, a quienes se les han brindado apoyos logísticos para acompañar a la ciudadanía y que el recorrido transcurra en completa normalidad.
La Policía Metropolitana de Barranquilla informó que dispondrá 1.700 uniformados que estarán a cargo de proporcionarles la seguridad a los ciudadanos, apoyados por el Ejército nacional, quienes se desplegarán a lo largo del recorrido del desfile, y que también se contará con equipos de vigías caninos, Policía Montada y operación aérea con drones.
Lo anterior se suma a la seguridad habitual brindada por el Modelo Nacional de Vigilancia Comunitaria por Cuadrantes, el cual estará funcionando con normalidad.
El jefe de la Oficina para la Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana, Nelson Patrón, señaló que la vigilancia también estará fortalecida vía aérea con el sobrevuelo de la flota de drones que seguirán el recorrido del desfile.
Además, en los diferentes barrios y localidades las patrullas mixtas, conformadas por la Policía y el Ejército, estarán realizando recorridos y actividades de control por tierra para la prevención y contención de delitos; así como aéreos por parte de la Fuerza Aérea y patrullajes fluviales por parte de la Armada.
“Es importante que la ciudadanía tenga presente que el Carnaval es una fiesta para vivir nuestras tradiciones y que se disfruta en sana convivencia, sin excesos, respetándose entre todos y siguiendo las recomendaciones de las autoridades”, dijo el jefe de la oficina.
Sobre el desfile de Guacherna
El desfile de La Guacherna, que será desde las 7:00 p.m. hasta la 1:00 a.m., partirá desde la calle 70 con carrera 44, bajará por toda la carrera 44 hasta la calle 53 donde doblará a mano izquierda para tomar esta vía y pasar por la Plaza de la Paz hasta llegar a la carrera 54; seguidamente, dobla a mano derecha hasta llegar a la tradicional cuchilla del Barrio Abajo donde finalizará en la carrera 54 con calle 48.
Para el personal logístico hay asignadas 558 personas, 293 de organismos de socorro, 10 ambulancias básicas y 2 ambulancias medicalizadas.
Las entidades de apoyo que hacen parte del PMU son las secretarías de Gobierno, Salud, Tránsito y Seguridad Vial, oficinas de Salud Pública, Servicios Públicos, Inspecciones y Comisarías, la entidad ambiental Barranquilla Verde y la Policía Metropolitana de Barranquilla.
Las autoridades recordaron que no hay prohibición de ingreso de menores de edad; sin embargo, se prohíbe la venta de bebidas en envases de vidrio y la instalación de ventas de comidas a carbón en los alrededores del desfile.
También se realizará el control de los precios de las ventas en el desfile, así como de los establecimientos comerciales. El precio para el alquiler de sillas quedó establecido en $30.000.
