Las ligas más importantes del país participan en el campeonato que se desarrolla en Barranquilla del 11 al 14 de mayo, en el estadio de atletismo Rafael Cotes.
La delegación atlanticense buscará sumar el mayor número de cupos a las justas Paranacionales, que se llevarán a cabo del 2 al 10 de diciembre de 2023.
. Con una nutrida delegación, el departamento del Atlántico se prepara desde este jueves para participar en el último campeonato clasificatorio de para atletismo, que definirá los últimos cupos de cara a los Juegos Paranacionales del Eje Cafetero 2023.
Las competencias se extenderán hasta este domingo 14 de mayo y se desarrollará en las instalaciones del estadio de atletismo Rafael Cotes de Barranquilla.
“Este es otro evento importante, que cuenta con el apoyo de Indeportes, y donde se espera una muy buena representación de nuestros para atletas. Tenemos un excelente grupo que se viene destacando a nivel nacional y esperamos en los próximos cuatro días ratificar los cupos a los Juegos Paranacionales», indicó el director de Indeportes, Luis Restrepo.
El Instituto de Deportes, desde su área de Alto Rendimiento, viene acompañando estos procesos de los deportes de tiempo y marca en discapacidad con el metodólogo Joan Manga.
“Tenemos un excelente talento en el para atletismo de nuestro departamento. Para este clasificatorio y en casa vamos a estar en los primeros lugares, aquí lo importante es que se definirán los cupos y las pruebas que tendremos en los Juegos Paranacionales. Seguimos desde nuestra área acompañando los procesos de nuestros para atletas», apuntó Manga.
La delegación del Atlántico está conformada por 37 deportistas, tres entrenadores, dos delegados, dos guías y dos personas de apoyo logístico.

Damas: Betsy Villanueva, Francesca Pereira, María Angélica Cervantes, Luz Marys Coronado, Paola Celis, Yesica Meza, y Glenys Niebles.
Hombres: Humberto Armella, Delfo Arce, Fabio Villegas, José Flórez, Germán García (guía), Brayan Pereira (guía) , Daniel Centeno, Frank León, Ibrahim Pérez, Camilo Rodríguez, Kevin Tromp, Luis Rodríguez, Miguel Herrera, Bladimir Miranda, Jorge Meza, Breitner Torres, Jorge Torres, Julio de Alba, Yaider Palomeque, Jesús Martínez, José Luis Gutiérrez, Oswaldo Osorio, Brandon Valdés, Guillermo Chiquillo, Jovino Cardozo, Anderson Romero, Manuel Castro, Luis Miguel de Alba, Daniel Cervantes y Carlos del Villar.
