De acuerdo con el pronóstico del IDEAM, este fenómeno natural se mantendrá durante el mes de enero
Por los fuertes vientos que durante esta época del año se vienen presentando en Barranquilla, la Oficina de Gestión del Riesgo recomienda a la ciudadanía tomar las medidas preventivas necesarias para evitar posibles emergencias asociadas a este fenómeno natural.
De acuerdo con el pronóstico del IDEAM, la velocidad de los vientos está superando los 50 kilómetros por hora, por encima de lo normal en esta temporada del año. Se prevé que este comportamiento se mantenga durante el mes de enero.
Ante esta situación, el jefe de la Oficina de Gestión del Riesgo, Fernando Fiorillo Zapata, recomienda a la comunidad reducir cualquier tipo de riesgos y estar atenta.
Asimismo, el funcionario resaltó que el Consejo Distrital de Gestión del Riesgo estará preparado para atender cualquier percance que pueda presentarse por la acción de los vientos.
Estas son las medidas preventivas que se recomienda tener en cuenta a la población para que se proteja:
Cerrar y asegurar las puertas y ventanas de su residencia.
Reforzar los techos y caballetes de las viviendas.
Retirar macetas y todos los objetos que puedan caer a la vía pública y provocar un accidente.
Retirarse de muros, vigas o árboles que puedan llegar a desprenderse.
Evitar elementos sueltos en balcones y terrazas.
Abstenerse de subir a lugares altos y expuestos al viento sin las adecuadas medidas de protección.
Tomar medidas de precaución delante de edificaciones en construcción o en mal estado.
No pasar por debajo de andamios o edificios en construcción.
Apartarse de cableado eléctrico, así como de vallas publicitarias que puedan caer.
Cubrirse ojos, nariz y boca para evitar enfermedades.
Limpiar frecuentemente coladeras y desagües para evitar que se tapen con hojas o basura que arrastre el viento.
En caso de presentarse cualquier emergencia debe ser reportada a la línea 123.
